People with moles, warts or skin tags often feel a bit self-conscious about them. Removing the unsightly skin growth isn't about vanity -- it's really about a boost of confidence and self-esteem. In some cases, moles, warts and skin tags can be painful or even hindering normal activities, which is another reason to get rid of them.

Health is an even more important concern. Skin cancer is a potential danger with mole-like lesions that are multicolored or irregularly shaped. While most moles, warts and skin tags are benign, it's a good idea to have lesions tested and/or removed.

If you suffer from skin growths, warts, or birthmarks, and wish to have them removed, you should consider laser treatment.  With our laser treatment, eliminating benign skin lesions such as skin tags, moles and other pigmented lesions  on any part of the body is safe and easy. Scars, stretch marks, cherry angiomas, age spots, freckles and wrinkles are all treatable conditions.

Skin growth removal

Because our laser is very gentle, it can be used on any part of the body. The computer-operated laser beam is targeted at the area to be treated and destroys the unwanted tissue in very thin layers. The biggest advantage of the laser is its gentleness. Because it doesn't cause large open wounds, the healing process is fast and often no other treatments or check-ups are necessary.

Before the laser growth removal treatment

During the first consultation, Dr. Fowler will check the state of your skin and the extent of the necessary procedure. If you have larger growths that you'd like removed, the procedure may have to be repeated several times. This procedure is not suitable for all birthmarks.

After the laser growth removal treatment

Immediately after the laser treatment, a small wound appears in the treated area. Soon a small scab will form. The treated area is sometimes protected with asmall bandage that may be removed in two or three days. It may not be used in cases of small procedures. It is vital to protect the treated area from sun exposure for at least one month. We recommend using sun-block creams (50+.) No other precautions are necessary.

The Results

The results of the treatment won't be visible for about 3 to 4 weeks after the procedure. When the scab disappears depends on the extent of the treatment and on the state of your skin. If the result is not satisfactory, the procedure may have to be repeated several times.
